I created this book as a personal project about my circle of friends in Berlin. Except me all of them where coming from the same small town from eastern Germany - but not all of them have known each other before. Therefore I got interested in how the factor of "home/hometown" plays a role in choosing a group of people arround us in a new big city like Berlin. Is it so important to keep a bit of "home" around?

Based on empirical research I created and designed this book about this one circle of friends as an example of the developement of friendships, factoring in where we are coming from.
